“I fear I’m suffering from the fallacy that, because one drink makes me feel good, more drinks will make me feel gooderer.”

On reasoned debate

(In tone of great indignation) “Well, there’s HAVING AN OPINION, and then there’s KNOWING WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT.”

On time management

“Why do I always end up organising social events?”

“You need to learn to delegate.”

“Alright, it’s your turn.”

On staying on topic

“That’s very interesting and insightful… but what did you think of the book?”

On waiting for food:

“This is taking a while… perhaps they’re having to hunt down our dinner.”

“Yes, but I’m having chips. The potato is a very still prey!”
